Vincitatus, or Vici, was the first dragon to be harnessed in the western world. Her masculine name was a result of her companion, Marcus Antonius or "Anthony", naming her before discovering her gender. As a result, the name "Vici" was used as a nickname.

(NEED BIOGRAPHY WRITTEN)

Anthony came into possession of Vici's egg through him being sentenced to slay a dragon; Vici's Mother, as punishment for his crimes of murder and unpaid debt. When facing it, Anthony inadvertantly discovered the dragon had an existing wound, and stabbed at it, resulting in it dying from blood loss. Vici's egg was among the loot, and Anthony took it with the deceased dragon's loot, planning to sell it. When nobody would buy it, Anthony kept it in his courtyard as a status symbol, believing the hatchling inside to be deceased.

It is not known what happened to Vincitatus after this.

Despite this, Vici hatched one day when Anthony was asleep in the courtyard; recuperating from a recent orgy. After devouring a lion that had been chained up in the courtyard, she bonded with Anthony by waking him up and asking for more food. Amazed, he named her Vincitatus.

Eventually, Vici grew to the point where the Roman officials would not allow Anthony to keep her within the city, and so they were sent to join the battles in Gaul. Initially they were to be accompanied out of the city by soldiers, but after Anthony got into a fight with the Centurion, Vici scared them away and took to the skies with Anthony. Eventually reaching Gaul, Vici arrived to find a battle raging between the Gauls and the Romans, and she joined the battle, catching the eye of the Roman Commander, Caius Julius Caesar, who later toyed with the idea of putting archers on her back for a later battle.

Trivia
*Although her mother had the ability to breathe fire, Vici herself did not.

*Vici was known to have some interest in poetry, as she had heard the Priapeia from Anthony, and later requested his neighbour Cato to recite Ennius' Annals to her, and later discussed the symbolism.

*According to William Laurence in Blood of Tyrants, Vici appears in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar during the "Friends, Romans, Countrymen" speech by Mark Anthony.

*It is not known exactly what impact Vici had on the future relationship between Mark Anthony & Queen Cleopatra IV of Egypt; a relationship that ended with the suicide of both. Considering the general strength of the bond between dragons and their riders, Anthony might not have committed suicide. If he did, what Vici did next also remains a mystery; whether she fled the Roman Empire and led the rest of her life in solitary, whether she attacked Octavian's forces in a sorrowful rage and perished, or whether she had even died before this point and added to Anthony's misery.
