Biography

Avraam Maden was a wealthy Sephardic Jewish banker in Istanbul. His family originated from the Seville region of Spain but immigrated to Istanbul during the Spanish Inquisition, as the Ottoman Empire was far more welcoming towards Jews.

He helped Laurence to discover what happened to the money paid by the British for the three Turkish dragon eggs.

Sara Maden was his daughter. He also had two grown sons.
