Biography

Bellusa (Latin for 'Beautiful') was a dragon Temeraire met while in the Pen Y Fan Breeding Grounds. She is one of the female dragons the breeders tried to tempt Temeraire with to breed, but she was very emotional, due to her still being upset over her losing a captain - not due to combat, but due to a quarrel between she and her captain.

She attempted to offer a small blanket which her captain had given her as an offering to Temeraire, and although emotional, Temeraire "obliged" her even though he was not at all interested.
