Biography[edit]
Bezaid is Iskierka's father. He is stationed in Turkey, he talks with Temeraire when they first arrive at the palace.
Bezaid's captain did not approve of Temeraire's "Jacobean" tendencies and berated Laurence for it. His name is not known but he was a decorated aviator who wore a chelengk, which is a high honor. He also had short-trimmed hair that set him apart from the other aviators who wore turbans.
