Biography

Bowden met Laurence and Temeraire at Aerial Command when they went there to find out where they were to receive their training. Bowden and Admiral Powys argued for two hours, presumably a good portion of that time dedicated to where to send Laurence, before the two Admirals met with Laurence. Laurence latter hypothesized that the admirals were afraid that he would have a hard time adjusting to the customs of the Air Corp and the two differed in opinion on how best to assimilate him and Temeraire.

Bowden was stern with Laurence when the latter pried him for information about the specifics of their training, further increasing Laurence's dread at what he thought he would find at Loch Laggan, but otherwise Bowden was kind and open to both Laurence and Temeraire.
