Biography

Celeritas was a very aged dragon who served with at least two captains of the Rankin family. He was unable to tolerate Jeremy Rankin, so he moved into teaching new dragons. He was stationed at Loch Laggan where he was the training master. This was quite unusual, since dragons did not use to have commanding positions in Aerial Corps.

He was exceptional also because he had read one of the works by Sir Edward Howe. However, it is unclear whether Celeritas read it himself or it was read to him.

He wore a golden ring studded with a jade stone around his neck, presumably a gift from one of his captains.

His name comes from Latin and means 'speed' or 'agility'.
