Biography

Eroica (literally, "Heroic") is considered one of Prussia's finest dragons. He is very disciplined and has performed well as a military dragon. His strict order-following nature clashes with Temeraire's free spirt when he comes to Prussia. (Temeraire refers to him as a "booby" in a fit of temper.) Both Eroica and his captain, Dyhern, refuse to accept that there are problems with their formation-flying. This eventually proves to be their undoing, as Eroica is captured by the French in the Batttle of Jena-Auerstadt.
