Biography

Gong Su was employed by Laurence to cook for Temeraire.

He traveled with the crew from China to Britain and later to Cape Town and back. There were two moments when he came close to resignation. The first one was when he saw a bad omen at the Jiayu Gate which meant that he would never come back to China. The second was when Temeraire refused to eat on the way to Cape Town, sympathising with his sick companions.

In Britain his spicy cooking helped the sick dragons to regain appetite.
