-- Try to use full character names, where available, to create pages, but do not include military ranks. Thus: William Laurence.

-- Let's use Britian/British rather than England/English.

-- For anything requiring a date, such as a character's age, attempt to use an absolute date. E.g., date of birth = c. 1700 instead of "100 years old." The reason for this is that we have no idea how long the books will ultimately span in years -- if they go through Waterloo, it's at least a decade. It's fine to estimate if you don't know (and we won't in most cases). If anyone knows the precise year the books begin, please share! 1804 is the best guess at the moment.

-- It's not necessary to create links to common terms that have no special meaning in the Temeraire universe. Thus, Napoleon Bonaparte is a proper subject for a page here, as his history in the Temeraire universe deviates from real history, but for the moment we don't need a page her on, say, King George. Feel free to link to the full Wikipedia pages on common subjects that come up, though.

-- It's not necessary to link every time you mention a linked term; link it the first time, or on a longer page, the first time it's used in each section. So: William Laurence the first time you mention him; after that, just "Laurence" is fine, unless there's a risk of confusion with someone of the same last name.
