Biography
Friedrich Ludwig Hohenlohe, prince of Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen, was in charge of the troops at Dresden when Temeraire and his crew arrived. He demanded explanation as to why William Laurence had not arrived with the 20 dragons promised to him by the Aerial Corps. He insisted that Laurence stay until those dragons arrived, which they never did, so Laurence and Temeraire were forced to fight with the Prussians while Napoleon Bonaparte attacked.
Hohenlohe was some sixty years of age at the time and wore a white powdered wig.
