Biography
Hollin was a member of Temeraire's crew, but William Laurence asked him to keep an eye on Levitas, who was being neglected by his captain, Jeremy Rankin. Hollin did such a good job that when Levitas died, the Aerial Corps gave the next available Winchester to Hollin instead of Rankin. The dragon, Elsie, is seen briefly at the beginning of Throne of Jade when she is training to be a courier.
