Biography

Immortalis was a member of Lily's formation, one of the older dragons brought in to add experience, since Lily, Temeraire and Maximus were all quite young. Like Messoria, the other Yellow Reaper of the formation, he displayed an instinctive tendency to drop when another dragon dived on him from above.

Immortalis was a quiet dragon and his captain, Little, was a quiet man, so they were well-matched. They journeyed to Cape Town with the rest of Lily's formation in the summer of 1807 to find a cure for the Dragon Plague.

Unsurprisingly, Immortalis' name in Latin means 'immortal'.
