Biography

King Frederick (Frederick William III) was the ruler of Prussia at the time of the Napoleonic Wars. William Laurence met him at the Batttle of Jena-Auerstadt when he described him as not so handsome or vivacious as his wife, Queen Louise.

King Frederick was caught up in the chaos that ensued after Lung Tien Lien unleashed the divine wind on the Prussian forces battling Napoleon Bonaparte. He was nearly thrown from his horse.

Later, after meeting with Laurence, Queen Louise, Hohenlohe, General Ruchel, General Kalkreuth, Scharnhorst and Marshal Blucher, he his forced to retreat, with his wife, on the back of Temeraire.
