Lenton has at least 40 years of experience in the Corps, as that is how long he has flown with Obversaria. He is incredibly influential in the Aerial Corps and commands them in battle.
However, after Obversaria abruptly dies in the dragon plague, Lenton struggles. Jane Roland says he he held admirably for three weeks after her death but then was found on the floor of his quarters in an apoplexy.
