Lung Tien Chu was the son of Lung Tien Xian. His daughter was Lung Tien Lien, an albino Celestial born during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor, who was believed to be unlucky, due to her being born in "mourning colours".
Aside from a brief mention by Qian that he is her sibling or half-sibling, Chu has not explicitly appeared in the Temeraire series to date. He may be the unnamed male Celestial who appears with the Jiaqing Emperor in Throne of Jade, as in Crucible of Gold, Temeraire reflects that his own uncle is the Emperor's companion.
