Ning's egg was to be for Prince [[Mianning]], after his first dragon had died. But the egg was stolen by the French and brought to Paris where [[Joseph Pachacuti Yupanqui]], the crown prince, should get it. [[Temeraire]] and [[Iskierka]] rescued their egg and during the rescue little Ning hatched and then rescued her parents. Ning's egg was coloured in porcellan with a red 8 on it. Immediately after hatching Ning is able to use her special abilities, what are a mix of the Divine Wind and firespitting: she is spitting a white flame that will once be larger than that of her mother and when it is used together with the Divine Wind it shows strange behavior like curling at the edges or exploding when hitting something; the noise of the Divine Wind is higher than normal but it is as effective.
