Biography[edit]
Lung Yu Ping was a Chinese courier dragon of the Jade breed. She was very small, almost the same height as William Laurence. As is characteristic of the breed, she was able to fly at high altitudes and cover great distances quickly. Lung Yu Ping worked as part of a network of Jade dragons that carried messages in relay.
Lung Yu Ping worked alone as a messenger, without a captain or crew. This is indicative of the different way dragons were treated in China. The level of trust and respect offered to dragons allowed them to undertake work without human oversight.
