Obversaria was the flag dragon of the [[Aerial Corps]] for over ten years. She had at least forty years of experience with Admiral [[Lenton]], who was her first captain. She was noted to be the finest dragon in Britain at one point. She was an Anglewing, a breed slightly larger than Yellow Reapers and noted for its exceptional agility in the air, including being able to fly in tight circles. It was said that no beast in her class could touch her for maneuvering. She served in the [[Battle of Dover]], and was one of the few who made it to the end of the battle when the French finally retreated after [[Temeraire]] broke their transports.

But when the pair landed, Obversaria chided Temeraire for his behavior, saying he was too old to be "flying with [his] eyes closed."
