Biography[edit]
He was a mathematician and discovered the Pythagorean theorem. Perscitia duplicates the theorem but thinks Temeraire discovered it. She also thinks Pythagoras were a dragon but as there is no dragon named Pythagoras on the other breeding grounds she takes him for an invention because even Temeraire just has heard of him but never hasn't met him.
