Biography
Demane's younger brother. After they were taken to Britain on board of HMS Allegiance Laurence made them both runners in Temeraire's crew.
After Laurence was convicted of treason, Berkley took Sipho and Demane under his wing. Although Demane was assigned to Arkady, Berkley managed to keep Sipho in his ground crew due to his youth, as he was not even nine.
When Laurence - technically still under a death sentence - and Temeraire rejoined the Aerial Corps during Napoleon's occupation of Britain, Demane and Sipho returned to them.
Sipho was extremely quick to learn. Both he and Demane learned English and Durzagh in addition to their native Xhosa, but where Demane spoke English with a thick accent, Sipho spoke it flawlessly. He soon began to outstrip both Demane and Emily Roland at lessons.
In 1838 Sipho Tsuluka Dlamini published The Tswana Kingdom: A Brief History, a work in three volumes.
