I recognized the name as a horse breed but didn't look at any pictures of the horses when I colored it. Most of the dragons are named after butterflies so this one is unusual. It is almost a gold color right now. :) I have some metallic pencils. They look good on paper but do not scan well, and since we do not have a good description of the dragon and I like the current pattern, I am going to leave my rendering alone. You are more than welcome to post your own rendition. We need more art. --[[User:Mooir|Mooir]] 21:21, 2 June 2008 (PDT) | I recognized the name as a horse breed but didn't look at any pictures of the horses when I colored it. + | I was just reading the wikipedia article on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akhal-Teke Akhal-Teke] and it says the translation of Akhal is pure not celestial. Where did you find your translation? It also says the breed was named Akhal-Teke by a Russian General in 1881. Maybe the horses are named after the dragons in the Temeraire world since it is only about 1807. --[[User:Mooir|Mooir]] 21:37, 2 June 2008 (PDT) |
