Incan Empire[edit]

So the Incas have an Acid spitting dragon. Makes me wonder how Pizarro's invasion went. . . Sure you Spanish have horses, guns and steel. We've never seen those before. But here's our dragon that will eat your horses and dissolve your guns and steel with his acid. Now that we out number you several hundred to one and you no longer have superior weapons, would you like to surrender? And before you say "But the Spanish have firebreathers!" The conquistadors were unlikely to have been given such valuable dragons to take with them (they weren't very high in status when they set out to the New World).

For the most part it, dragons haven't changed the world too much, but I see major potential for change in the New World (and Africa for that matter). I think conflicts in Europe wouldn't have been changed much by dragons because they tended to have similar levels of technology, but the technological advantages of Europeans in the New World might be negated by dragons, especially those dragons with special attacks like the Copacati making the Aztecs and Incas forces to be reckoned with. Maybe . . .

Guess I've been watching too many of the Nova shows about the Inca's this week. ;) --Mooir 20:15, 4 July 2007 (PDT)
