Talk:Durzagh

Does anybody know if Durzagh is based off any language in particular? I know it's supposed to be a unique dragon language, but the fact that there are regions of it could mean they have similiarities with the local languages (I believe Arkady's crew are from Kyrgyzstan). I know of two phrases spoken in the series; "Bnezh s'li taqom" (Temeraire warning Arkady of a flaw in their attack in Empire Of Ivory) and "Payom zhe reng!" (Wringe reacting to Temeraire roaring over her head).

Payom zhe reng, given the context, is probably something like "I surrender!" or "I'll talk!" or some draconic swear or word of surprise.
