− | : Samehere. I have electronic versions of the first three books, and I assumed it'd be in Throne of Jade. But I cannot find mention of Chu, except Qian saying "[Lien] was sired by Chu" in that book. I suppose since Lien is present in the other three, she might have mentioned it at some time? That her father was companion to the emperor? The update saying he was companion to the emperor was made by user:kazilik dude in 2007, so it may have been in Empire of Ivory which was released that year. -- Strangerface 09:21, 16 August 2010 (PDT)

− | :As a result of the research done towards making a proper Celestial family tree, I think it's safe to say that Chu cannot actually be the Emperor's consort. We know that dragons can live for about 200 years, and if we assume that no Celestial younger than Grandfather has died yet, then it could be said that each member of the family (save Lien and Temeraire) has been consort to an emperor. This must mean that when the Emperor plans his successor, he asks a Celestial to mate with an Imperial, and the resulting offspring chooses his companion.

− | :In other words, Lien, had she not been born an albino, would have been the consort to the present Jiaqing Emperor (or Yongxing). This means that Chu must have been paired with one of the past Emperors. With this logic, Ming or Zhi must be the consort to the current emperor.

− | :I've nearly finished the Celestial family tree, and then I'm going to update the pages of each Celestial with this and new information. Almaron 16:12, 17 August 2010 (PDT)

− | Well, at last we have information on Chu...he is the companion to the Jiajing Emperor! Blood of Tyrants conclusively proves it, which makes things quite confusing, for the reasons mentioned above. Perhaps Chu didn't take a companion straight away, and only did after siring Lien?
