When in doubt use the preview button and the help page on Wikipedia (this site is the same software and their help page has help).  Welcome to the wiki and that's a pretty cool picture of Temeraire and Lily.  Once last thing, always remember to sign your name with 4 ~ in a row (it will automatically put in your username and timestamp it). --[[User:Mooir|Mooir]] 19:45, 5 November 2008 (PST)

Thank you for your help! I'm ignorant, though I think you know. heheh. Nice save!

Revision as of 04:10, 6 November 2008

Can someone please tell me how to download my image to the temeraire page?

I added
Temeraire and Lily
at the top of the code for the Temeraire page and that seems to have worked - it shows a thumbnail the same width at the others which links to a larger version of the image. Is that what you wanted? Rose 18:35, 5 November 2008 (PST)

YES!!!! Thank you! I don't know what I was doing wrong....Could you perhaps tell me what I'm supposed to type so I can download it onto Lily's page too?

To add an image this is the code

[[Image:image_name.jpg|right|thumb|300px|text you want to appear below it]]

  • Right is the position
  • Thumb means it is a thumbnail and thus a smaller version of the picture you uploaded. Always use this!
  • 300px is the size of the image. 300 is what most of the images are here unless they are funny dimensions.

I find putting that chunk in the page, saving it then clicking on the Image:image_name.jpg link to upload the file is the easiest way to add pictures. Also, when adding text to a page, don't put a space before it . . .

or you'll something like this
