Biography

Praecursoris is a French dragon who appears in His Majesty's Dragon. His captain Jean-Paul Choiseul, was loyal to the Bourbon kings and was considered a traitor by Napoleon Bonaparte. Praecursoris and Choiseul are close, as almost all dragons are to their captains; it is for his sake that Choiseul attempts to kidnap Lily (to gain favor with Bonaparte). Praecursoris does not speak English so the reader does not know what he thinks of the events, though Temeraire insists he should have stopped Choiseul.

After Choiseul is exectued, Praecursoris deflats, and allows himself to be taken away for breeding.
